Keith Patin, needs someone to clue him to this scenerio, "" if the CHINESE invaded us, what would this do to the charter amendments ?
" LOL, what a mushroom! If a ( DISMANTLING, THIS IS A BETTER WORD, that even Keith may comprehende, ) deconsolidation of the present system of governing occurs then any charter amendments should definitely be desolved, """ Keith, COLOR THEM GONE ! - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN

While I personally wholeheartedly support consolidated government as it eliminates political positions that "we the taxpayers" have to support both a Mayor and Parish President. However representative districts are formulated are to be desired, in both City-Parish and City (Mayor--Council) and Parish (President--Council) government due to ultra rural where I reside political representation will remain virtually unchanged. I do not mind paying LESS TAX for representation even if this means my tax dollars go to city coffers. As I said before I'm all for fewer politicians and united representation for our parish. Just look down US 90E, the City Government is suing Parish Government over tax revenue that is not even being collected yet.
LESS GOVERNMENT--MEANS MORE TAX DOLLARS FOR PARISH WIDE PROJECTS URBAN AND RURAL. - Justice for All

Jay Castille $ Sam Dore, " the citizens are not requesting any consolidated charter amendments, but a deconsolidation of the city/ parish system of governing, as it now stands..........
The voters in the parish know that without a separate system of governing bodys for the city/parish, and a separate representation by "Parish Officials, separate from the present Parish Administration,
The present " Administration will continue to strongarm the council to put the needs of the city first and foremost, and the needs of the parish set on the back burner. """ If at any time set anywhere at all near the fire ............... The outlying parish areas will continue to be neglected for the gain of the inner-city,"business proprietors, investors and the well-being of the inner-city community, and an absent regard or non-existent regard for the outlying parish, """ TAX PAYERS........... The growth of the city, the growth and success of the inner city businesses, and the care of the city's residencey's sidewalks and residential streets is very well maintained, but at a cost to all the tax payers, "" PARISH AND CITY TAX PAYERS.......
The obvious discrimination, and neglect of the parish citizens, must come to an end, and it is apparent that there will be no change without first deconsolidation of the present administration !
THIS GOVERNING ADMINISTRATION IS OBVIOUSLY, A PARTISAN ADMINISTRATION, SUPPORTED BY THE PARVENU AND THE NOUVEAU RICHE, ONE FOR THOU AND ALL FOR THY......... - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN
