Northsidian Shotgun,

Your macho pen name does nothing to hide your obvious insecurities as you try to intimidate people with your capital letters and sub-surface street talk. Your reputation on these blogs is unfortunately consistently negative and condescending. It certainly makes no sense for anyone to tell a person with your venimous postings who they really are.

If you learn how to talk to people with reason and take a moment to truly listen, you will be more effective in your blog postings. Otherwise, you are just coward hiding behind a fake name making a bunch of noise.

I have been following this GPS movement for sometime and believe it does reduce overall costs for a company by improving accountability and efficiency. If you have facts to indicate otherwise, share them and we can transform this blog for its intended purpose of exchanging rational points of view.

Have a nice day. - Business

GPS benefits come from companies whose employees have to travel large distances and their whereabouts may be unknown. When the 'possible' areas are reduced, so are the potential savings. In this case, we shall see if we have another case of technology misuse by those who don't know any better. In any case, I hope they didn't use a large city in the "study" (sic) because they will probably be disappointed and have to resort to "creative" statistics. - Geraldbertholl

I agree. LCG is wasteful. They purchased some Segeways for the police to use downtown plus a fancy golf cart for Durel to use during festivals. Can you imagine how many police mountain bikes plus the added health benefit the administration could have bought?
LCG has so much money to spend because of our overpayment of taxes plus all the red light/speeding cam funds, they can't spend it all. T - Fed Up #2

Folks who shoot out "cute" one liners to poke at people are truly cowards at heart. More to come.

GPS is used by many fleet operators around the country because it saves them money by allowing them to efficiently monitor and manage their fleets. It is far more effective to grind out more productivity through the use of this technology than it is to add more trucks and people.

To all you angry, cowardly bloggers who live to attack the effort of others under the cloak of anonymity: Give credit where good sense prevails, it will make you far more credible when you have truly valid points as to the things you think are not right. - Business

The GPS tracking is a responsible solution to holding people accountable for thier time and travel. It is worth the initial cost and will yeild savings for years to come. The city is trying to save your money (taxes)by adding accountability. - lafneswatcher

Personally, LCG is wasteful!! This is a waste of taxpayer money. First the rate hike, 15% no less, in the next two years. GPS to track "child molesting" employees? I could think of several other places that money could be used to make an impact on Lafayette and its citizens, can't you? - Fed UP
