I'm just glad to see the roads in South Central Louisiana being worked on... I don't know where you people are, though. And taking 18 wheelers off the road would help the road but not our pockets... The more merchandise that can get to a store at once the less transit cost, the less gas/truck repair cost = The less we have to pay... When their expenses are higher, so are ours. - Fe

I just drove on LA state 117 and 118 near the Kisatchie forest a few days ago. It just about broke the suspension on my Miata. Talk about self-enforcing speed limits. That road was paved when Huey Long was governor, patched when Eisenhower was president and it hasn't been aging gracefully since. - Broken Backside

OMG, I've been saying its such a shame because we USED TO HAVE GOOD ROADS, but its more important to line the pockets of politicains and their cronies! Katrina gave us tons of bucks and none were spent on roads, not that I can see.... The roads ratttle our vehicles to pieces. I was just thinking this morning when a monster truck dump truck nearly ran me over, it used to take a permit to use a truck that big. The permit money was used to mainttain the roads. Now the permit money must be in someone's pockets intstead of the state coffers. And don't insult me by saying it would make everything cost more! What a load! Still, it goes back to leadership, of which, Louisiana HAS NONE! The money was there, what happened to it? - Morrow

Seems to me, they ought to be pumping out speeding tickets with state budget hurting like it is...Wuts wit dat ? - Plumpy

Sure it's bad. But on the bright side, Ethiopia is worse. Heck, they can't spell road. - Bikini Wax
