When has government ever been huge for our economy? Lafayette is paying out a lot of money to non-local companies to build out the fiber to the home project. I was fed, “huge for our economy” by the spoonfuls listening to the powers that be and now I am stuck with the decisions I made by voting for this project. I am waiting for somebody to chime in on how this has helped our LOCAL economy and look forward to seeing the responses. I challenge LUS FTTH to post or publish the money paid to outside contractors versus Louisiana or Lafayette companies. I also challenge LUS FTTH to post the apology letter they are drafting to COX, AT&T and other local companies for taking away local business and the formal request asking GOOGLE, “Hey…we can’t do it ourselves can you help?”.

Sorry for old post reply but I just caught this thread and had to speak out - LUS_Lafayette_Made_ wrong_decisions

Too much fiber makes you fart. So far, in a non-scientific poll, the only advantage of LUS fiber is it is cheaper. No one has yet to say it is better. - Scroll Lock

Congratulations to Terry Huval, Joey Durel and the Lafayette Economic Development Authority . Having an infrastructure like this is 100x better than some stupid prank that these other cities are doing. This could be huge for our economy. - citizen

I'm starting my novena today! I'd love to see Lafayette get this! Myself, I'm pulling for the Carencro area, if another location but Lafayette is in consideration. - Morrow

Where's northisidian shotgun? I am surprised he hasn't chimed in with the same rhetoric that we see weekly. Where are all the neanderthals chanting "Joey Durel and LUS BAD, COX GOOD!"

The fact that we are even being considered by google for this is a testament to Mr. Huval and LUS. Keep up the GREAT work guys and I hope we land this! - Solutions

I threw Youngsville's name in the hat. I tol'd them about Lafayette's Fiber and saib that the Youngsville /Broussard area would be the next natural migration for fiber albiet from another provider, Google. - CanadaBobEh
