And I also don't understand why the "parish guys" care one way or the other. If parish taxes are used for parish projects, and city taxes are used in the city, then what's the difference? Deconsolidation wouldn't change the parish budget one bit. There'd be a separate parish council, with the same budget as today--what else would change?
