Oh, I'M SO GLAD THE IND MADE COMMENT ON THIS CASE !!! MANY THANKS. I'd never have time to go through the records & this would be "hush hush" and the "honorable's" decision would be hush hush! The media takes a beating for revealing info many would remain under a rock. If not for the media revelation, many would rather slant this to faulting the victim in this case. I am SO VERY GLAD the sordid details were mentioned, to give credit to the serious nature of the crime. - Morrow

There was testiimony to this and the judge tossed this out?!?! I'm sure she doesn't identify with a situation such as this, but I find it hard to wrap my head around her ignoring sworn testimony! I believe Judge Castle is very near retirement and that's about all she's interested in - hanging in there till she can collect the big bucks in retirement. Yeah, I have to agree, this sure sounds as if SOMEONE IS PAYING OUT MONEY AND SOMEONE IS TAKING MONEY IN for a decision like this. In cases like this, I always kinda wish it would happen to one of "their" family members, like a granddaughter perhaps... Karma, and you reap what you sow type thing.... It sure would put a different spin on a judge's opinion..... - Morrow

Just because you can, doesn't mean you have to.
Please use some editorial discretion next time.
The sordid details didn't need to be published to get the point across, even as a link to a pdf, and even though it is a matter of public record.
It appears some innocent people were caught up in this and didn't need to be embarrassed publicly, and I'm NOT talking about Scott Hawkins or Chris Villamarette.
I'd rather you dazzle us with your brilliant use of our language to tell a story that requires restraint and sound judgment by the author. - Discretion

“drunk Fridays” "sauna" "wrapped in a towel" "sexually-provocative comments and overtures to employees"

Sounds like your normal attorneys office. I hope Marilyn hangs them all.

That's about right. Castle always gives blacks long jail sentences without impunity, but when it comes to a white lawyer, who pleaded to a sex crime, she dismisses the case. Do we need judges like this? - yesidoknow

The Lafayette judge who dismissed the suit is not named. Why is that? - TheProblemIs
