written by me myself and I Fiber is dead? Wireless is the future? Spin control by Cox? Sounds like it to me.

Cox is not wireless, so no. More likely than not, devices like smart phones will be the dominant access points to the internet in a short time. - Thomas Edison

What is amazing to me is that no one in the news media knows how to interpret what this means for LUS fiber and the city utilities. The announcement was so significant, that unless something very drastic happens, soon, LUS Fiber will be insolvent by the end of next fiscal year. While I understand the media, community, business leaders, chamber of Commerce, Dural, Huval and etc opportunism and good intentions, I cannot understand the fact that no one is telling the truth. It's plan to see where we are. "Supporting LUS Fiber" is no longer the point. It is now time to tell the public has happened. - to the point

AY WHEN YOU REACH ME .......CUT ACROSS SHORTY !
These LCG administrators are the masters at money shuffling, don't You know that Lafayette Parish Govt. has to circulate the cush this is this is how the dollar loses value the more they circulate the funds back and forth, its like swirling a jawbreaker in ya mouth when you were a kid, you swirl it around long enough back and forth and its gone...NO TRACE ! SHAZAM. If this sounds strange let the city buy a Super WAl-MART Store and turn it into City Hall and watch whose wife has a Brand new Realtors License and collects the """ COMMISSION on the sell/purchase deal
THIS IS OBAMA who gave the slick con a new image name, Stimulate the Economy !!!!!!!!!!!! - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN

it's still too early to say "i told you so", but cutting revenue forecasts in half can't be good. borrowing money from LUS, weeks after announcing a rate increase? doesn't sound right, either. In court because Cox is not playing fair? not a proud moment, either.

And Cox and AT&T still haven't turned up the heat, yet. http://www.att.com/u-verse/explore/what-is-u-verse.jsp?wtSlotClick=1-003JUP-0-1
If AT&T brings U-Verse to Lafayette, LUS market penetration will drop. If AT&T and Cox slash prices, LUS penetration rate will plummet.

This was all predicted. Many people said 7-8 years ago that LUS revenue projections were too rosy. That the technology edge was not as significant as everyone thought. That DSL and cable would both be able to deliver triple play. They wouldn't listen.

All we can say now is, "Sure hope that marketing campaign goes well." :)

Let's try and follow this. They gave white collar engineers hugh raises, then they said utilities needed money to continue and raised rates and now utilities has extra money to lend the fiber project! This is incredible. And they are here to help (sic) citizens? - Gerald Bertholl
