Thousands of nameless people in this same community face debilitating and terminal illnesses without insurance, without the good fortune of calling on businesses and friends to help. I lost a very loved uncle who had to rely on Miles Perret Ctr and UMC and budget restraints prevented him from receiving the medical treatment he needed. He was a mechanic who gave untold hours of free work to poor people. He had no one to pay for his needed medical treatment and no way to raise the money. He was only 46. Every day people face astronomical medical expenses.
