I merely have an objective, first-hand knowledge of the aspects of this matter. I suppose if you had read properly between the lines, you would have been able to discern such. However, its very apparent you did not do so and in the process showed what a real ass you are. All pancakes have two sides to them, as so does this matter. This matter would not even be at issue had not a very overzealous Asst. DA got mad when her plea offer was rejected outright. Only then, did she make her complaint to the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Had she done her ethical duty believing immediately that a violation of the professional rules of conduct had occurred, she had an obligation to report it way back then. Instead, she thought she could parlay the threat of same in order to force feed an awful plea agreement offer to the defense. Didn't work out right for her, so months later she filed her complaint. A sore loser she was/is. NOTE: objective, rightful minds who analyze all proper evidence concerning the conduct of the attorneys involved will prove out (at the Supreme Court) that Mr. Stanford did not act intentionally or in any manner to try to obstruct justice or intimidate a witness. As for Mr. Stockstill, I don't know. Stockstill, as his attorney, sought to properly protect his interests by drafting the agreements. D.T. was prompted by Stanford to fully read the documents, asked her is she understood them, and then asked if she wanted to sign the documents. She read them, understood them, and then signed them. Only then, was she allowed to privately meet with her father. Of note, D.T. brought her Aunt (whom she trusted) with her. Her Aunt sat beside her the entire time any documents were presented, reviewed, and signed. The facts are that Michelle Billeaud only filed charges with ODC after Stockstill turned down her initial plea offer. The facts are that if Billeaud felt a violation had occured upon notfication that the documents had been signed by D.T., then she herself was obligated under the rules of professional conduct to report same immediately. She did not. She also did not file a motion with the District Court to let the judge find out what was going on. Instead, she tried to use the circumstances to barter a plea in a sketchy case against Darryl Theriot. When the defense turned down her plea offer many months later, only then did she filed the charges with ODC against the attorneys. That smacks of impropriety on her part. These attorneys did nothing more than their sworn duty under the law.... zealously represent the interests of their client.
