The leges had him b.s'd that the people would lay down on the raise issue. They did not expect a near revolt!! At least he listened to the will of the people instead of the blood sucking politicians!! Who, by the way are hoping we forgot what happened. In latest polling I saw on him by Rasmussen on June 29th, 74% of those polled in Louisiana approved of the job he is doing. Yet, when one bores a little deeper, negatives fly up. -He promised transparency in gov't under the guise of ethics reform, but crawfished when it came to his office. -He supported lege pay raises, until all hell broke loose and he crawfished on that. -I think I can safely say a majority of people thinks spends too much time out of state fund-raising for himself and other candidates. -He avoids the local media, but has an open door for the national media. -His leadership style is somewhat lacking, as he allowed the federal gov't to dictate to him what could and couldn't be done in Louisiana waters up to three miles off the coast during the oil spill - Why? Because he wanted guarantees that the state would be reimbursed for expenses. He could have acted like he was more worried about the coast than the money. -He was supplanted in popularity and leadership style by a parish president, Billy Nungesser, before a national audience. -His speech at the Rally for Economic Survival was deadpan by comparison when he followed Lt. Gov. Scott Angelle. -He disguised a tax as a fee hike with state driver's licenses, then had to crawfish from that. -Higher education is still a scrambled egg when it comes to operations and funding, yet he supported a tuition hike of 10%. -The fiasco, well, frankly fight, in NOLA over the location and the funding for the new LSU hospital and Veterans hospital shows no leadership on his part. -And now, he uses his political muscle to oust Mrs. Abell for unexplained reasons. And this is the stuff that's just on the surface, that we know about. Of course, there's more negatives. Yet, everyone I talk to likes Bobby Jindal.
