Following her logic she does not live in the District 44 ghetto where Lafayette Consolidated Government approves most if not all the lower income subsidized developments so she should not be allowed to comment. What does it matter where one lives if they have a vested interest in Lafayette? Maybe, queenbee is related to Mr. Hardy and so it's a hard pill to swallow when calls are made for Mr. Hardy to do more than pursues personal vendettas against Black men who he feels inferior. It is true many "yard service and house washing and house cleaning folks" get paid cash and do not report or pay taxes on those earnings. Let me be clear, I do not condone the actions of these buffoons. All (and the others Durel, Fuselier - who no one is calling for their heads) should be dealt with as appropriate by the legal system with restitution and jail required for any proven fraudulent activities. These are all allegations until proven in the legal system. Clearly, it is unethical even if not proven in the legal system. There is more corruption than Williams. Why if Hardy is so gunho on stamping out unethical activities in government why is Hardy not on TV demanding Durel to clear out the entire board to allow leadershiphip to LHA. Is that not what the Feds do with all the banks. Why is Hardy not on the horn calling for a review of other Lafayette entities where this kind of activity is no doubt the norm. Why did Durel leave Donald Fuselier, the former city attorney, the party instrumental for giving Williams the LHA job, on the board. That is according to Ms Turks other article: "Lafayette Housing Authority board member Donald Fuselier recalls that in late 2007 Williams went to the LHA to say he didn’t have work and needed a job. Fuselier thought Williams was a good fit for the Disaster Housing Assistance Program because of his background and skills set." Let's follow this circle - Durell pushed for Hardy to win in District 44, Hardy cuts grass for Donald Fuselier, Fuselier worked for Durel as city Attorney, Durell appoints Fuselier to LHA, Fuselier give Williams job at LHA. Now, I know some people who do yard mowing they always get paid in cash. One person of the many people that I know has five people working for him. Each of the five people pull in $250 a week. Do they pay taxes on that-I do not know. However, if Mr. Hardy has been for years the owner of a house washing and yard mowing business-did he pay his taxes? If that is the way he made his living we must assume he had been making a lot of money. I suspect the answer to these concerns may have been answered during Mr. Hardy's campaign for state office. Have they? As a reporter, I think you owe it to the community to look into this if it has not been setteled.
