Wow. Funny how cowardly, crude, and downright classless people are when they're hiding behind screen names. I'm glad I'm catching this post a year after the fact. I've actually never responded to a comment board on the Internet, because I prefer to write things that get legitimately published instead. I'm happy, however, to consider this my first posted message: Don T. is many things and small-minded is not and will never be among them. - Father's Daughter

Jealous of what? A smallminded public parasite who did nothing - NOTHING - for the public he was appointed, or elected, or hired to serve? Don Trahan has done nothing but serve himself at the expense of the public and he will do so now until the end of his days on a lucretive retirement. A lucretive retirement he did not earn nor does he deserve. - True dat!

"What a pathetic group of jealous and rude people. You should all be ashamed of yourselves."

---------------------------------------

All I pointed out is that Don Trahan continues to desire to live off the taxpayers. Prove me wrong? His record of employement and constantly earning a check and health care from taxpayers is all there.

Many of us work and pay our own health care and do not get retirement guarranteed by the government.

Start at the website of the Louisiana Association of Public Employees' Retirement Systems; it has links to the various retirement systems public employees use.
You'll likely have to submit public records requests to each for information on member benefits.

If ever there was a human example of a living, breathing, blood sucking parasite of the taxpayers' money as he kisses ass, it is Don Trahan. - True dat!

What was the drama surrounding his prior "retirement" or his prior leaving? There was some controversy. I remember that. I want to say it allegations of infidelity and a big scandal there, but I MAY BE WAY OFF. There was a stink, I'm pretty sure. I just get SO sick of hearing about @ss%^&es screwing up, then a cushy retirement, on the dole for years, and THEY ALL REWARD EACH OTHER FOR BEING JERKS! Like the police officer, w/ 34 yrs. You can be he's gonna be in charge of "security" somewhere getting his large retirement, meanwhile, he was too busy calling his "poo-poon" and let a woman die! I guess Louisiana is still a 3rd world country. - BoFred

Actually, he'll get 2.5% which he does not deserve. When Don Trahan claimed to be a teacher, he was best known for sleeping in the Teachers Lounge. And, being consistant, when he was with the Bowen Administration, even when his office door was closed he could be heard snoring. Since he has NEVER been known for his productivity and, since he was employed by Dept. of Ed. less than two years, there is no doubt that DOE could no longer afford to pay him for sleeping. Hence, they dumped him. - True dat!

It's all about the retirement. Salary for the last three years of service x length of years in public service (including probably going back to his time with the Bowen administration) x 3.5 and voila! a very comfortable retirement indeed. And so it goes. - Ophelia46
