I guess it's ok to pay them $4 above minimum wages. As for Ms. Evans. I'm quite sure that you all have heard enough stories about the kind of person she is. Since you have so much time on your hands, why don't you call her clients and ask them about the program and what they received from it. If she didn't do her work, how did her clients recieve the help that they were entitled to. You can get the list from Mr. Fuselier. As for Mr. Fusilier, if he was doing his job "on the board", there would be no investigation. If the program was audited in a timely manner, the case managers could have been told about their lack of competence. This little political drama will come back to bite several of you in your pants. It would appear to me that the writer(s) of the Independent thrives on printing half-truths and out right lies!! I've known Ms.Evans professionally (and personally) for six years and I've NEVER known anyone with a greater work ethic or someone to have greater compassion for those that she serves. It is SO easy to judge someone based on what we think we know, is it not? We see a 2 minute story on the news and we assume that we know that person, we are all guilty of it. I have in both professional and personal capacities seen her working in her office EVERYTIME I've gone there. If I hear about criminal charges being brought up, I think I will scream, this is obviously coming from people who know nothing about contract work/grants and how they work. There was nothing illegal that happened. She showed up for work, did her job(well) and collected her paycheck. Period. This is political, plain and simple. People that have an agenda, and Porsha is collateral damage. What about the hundreds, even thousands of lives she has touched? Walter Guillory hired Porsha primarily because of her ties to this community. And what she would be able to accomplish, as far as linking and referring clients to resources, locally and abroad. What Mr. Dural needs to do is to have a full on investigation and audit, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do this Mr.Dural. But he won't. Porsha was the only case manager working at the DHAP office many days. When the others could not be found Porsha was always there. I know I was one of her clients. She even loaned me money to get my documents,gave me rides to appointments and was a good case manager. Where you get this information I don't know.
