I KNOW Dr. Soto, he was my "doctor" in 2006, after I had a stroke. He impressed me as someone who would do ANYTHING for publicity. That said I still believe he could be sounding a truthful alarm. However, I doubt his sincerety for the human race ,aka, Gulf residents, because of my own personal experience with him. He was NOT a caring doctor. And if I would have followed his prescription of Plavix and two standard aspirins per day, I would have died! Every other doctor and pharmacist asked me if the doctor was trying to kill me. Mr. Soto came across as a profound materialist (like most doctors intersted in his bottom line) and someone who loved the attention he was getting from the hospital staff. - Jace 34

Ron Paul.....take the blinders off for a second.

Jeff Rense was assigned the title "conspirac theory" by the anti-defamation league. Not by me. That isn't exactly a stalworth of conservative causes. He is best known for his theories concerning UFO coverups, 9-11, and blaming the worlds problems on the Jews.

I'm all for reporting outside the main stream media but this guy is way outside. Do your research. As a Ron Paul guy I would be shocked if you still held such an opinion afterwards. - Cajun90

I remember when "they" poo-pooed the illnesses first responders of 9/11. I heard yesterday about the thousands who have settled for millions with NYC for the illnesses and disabilities they have suffered from exposure at Ground Zero.... so illnesses from exposure to BP's crap doesn't sound too far fetched.... I can understand BP's desire to fabricate a fairy tale of how safe the exposure was..... - BoFred

I love it when ever these robotic hardliners like Cajun90 don't want to accept any reporting outside of the mainstream media and, rather than delve into any rational discourse, they resort to cry baby name calling and referring to people as "conspiracy theorists" or "liberals" and other useless and ineffectual tactics. Too bad they don't work anymore. It's going to be a sad day when all these people get their wake up call. If anything there should more of this in The Independent. Rise above, brother deege. - Ron Paul 4 President 2010

I tend to believe Dr. Soto, due to the fact that I have witnessed the damage this chemical does to sea life, I have enough experience with this Chemical from the day it arrived on the waters of our gulf to rant about the immediate danger, now more so to the coastal residents, and spread to any person ingesting the contaminated seafood.

"Inform the public of the unspoken truths".

Okay here is some truth for you.... Jeff Rense who did this interview is a conspiracy theorist. The anti defamation league knows him well.

Journalistic integrity? Pathetic that the Independent allows this to show up on their website.

Jesus, there is one person understanding the seriousness of the cancer threat from the BP Corexit chemical.
Well what the hell it'll all be over soon enough. This chemical is not disappearing until its been consumed. By you know who ! - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN
