Where it is most of the time just three Board members attending and plus nothing on the agenda to let you know what they are going to go into executive session for. There's one member (Authur Lee Harris), who want attend any more meetings, because the FBI has question him on the Security Guard's Car, he was using for his very own personel vehicle. Michael Levier, seldom comes, because he know's all the pasted meetings has been illegal. The Atty. (Mark Falcon), at the last meeting told Joe Ann Tyler, (ED)and Mary Doucet, (Chairman of the Board)that Civil Service will be contacting them soon because of The Audit Findings had failed. They had nothing consisting put into policy and procedures, and Mary Doucet had been on the board for (20 yrs.) That ought to tell you something. Mrs. Daniell Carmouch, she also have a sister (Candance Payne), that works at the Opelousas Housing Authority, too. I tell ya, they are just one big happy family. The job of investigating, inditing and prosecuting the members of the LHA committee rest with the District Attorney's office or the State Attorney General, not with Joey Durel. For Durel to be so insistent on removing the members of the LHA makes one wonder--at least this one--if there is not complicity on the part of the Durel administration and the alleged "malfeasance's" the LHA board members are accused of having committed. In other words-rephrasing in what I call 3rd person stupid-would it be possible that Durel, in his dismissal of these board members attempting to cover-up tracks that could possibly lead to culpability on the part of certain city administrators? Freeman, Simmons & Dennis's decisions have been admonished and overturned by the director of the housing authority and they still can't seem to figure out how to conduct a meeting properly. I see a pattern here, and everywhere government gets involved. Ill defined social problem, creation of a government solution, corruption, reform, more corruption, more reform, bigger budget, problem continues to grow. I have a good idea. Let's take all the money that this LHA thing distributes, all of its annual budget, all the pay for all the case workers, every nickel...let's just divide it up equally among every tax filer in Lafayette with an annual income of under $25000 per year.
