Stop whining! The government can't afford to pay for it anymore! The students and their parents need to pay for their own education. Why should the State of Louisiana subsidize their college education? The state cuts funding, and the universities raise tuition. What's wrong with that? Louisiana has the lowest tuition in the Southeast. Wanna send your kids outta state? Go ahead. Park your kid in Mississippi, let them establish residency, and then pay for them to go to Univ. of Mississippi. In-state resident tuition there is gonna be higher than tuition at LSU or UL Lafayette. 50% higher per credit hour -- go check it out! Alabama's higher, Georgia, you know Texas and Florida are higher, too.
