Walter writes "Facebook or Twitter... They are for the most part repositories of vanity, superfluous data and the unimportant detritus of daily living."

Alec, give me a Big Chief tablet and a yellow no. 2 pencil and watch me Xignon.
One day all electricpower will be " Vacgrabitize by Aliens and communication will be solely thru the written word and the Pendjos, who cannot spell having forgotten how to communicate with one another through the written word, will be incommunicative and bored tweetless. Picture This !
" You imagine snuggling on the couch with your Twitter on a cold rainy afternoon. Oh, and must'nt forget to remove the Hush Puppy shoes. - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN

7% of Americans are on Twitter. There as many pet birds in America as there are Americans on Twitter. 53% of those never do anything. They set up an account and never come back. 70% of people on Twitter are on the site less than 5 minutes per month. My point is that Twitter is hype and destined to not be used. In fact, it's hardly used now really. How many bird owners do you know?

Print will have it's place, and could grow in this era of media revolution if the people at the wheels of the publication were super charged with that confidence.

And yet, as actress Betty White explained on SNL, FB is a huge waste of time. She connects with old friends via the 'Phonebook' sted of Facebook. She and Steve Martin of The Jerk fame must be best friends. As for myself, I'm still trying to figure out why we text instead of calling someone?
White on SNL:
“I really have to thank Facebook… I didn’t know what Facebook was, and now that I do know what it is, I have to say, it sounds like a huge waste of time. I would never say the people on it are losers, but that’s only because I’m polite. People say ‘But Betty, Facebook is a great way to connect with old friends.’ Well at my age, if I wanna connect with old friends, I need a Ouija Board. Needless to say, we didn’t have Facebook when I was growing up. We had 'Phonebook,' but you wouldn’t waste an afternoon with it.” - Cajunhiker
