ah ah ah! the world is watching the US's mad descent into creationism with satisfaction. Soon, you won't have any more scientists and you'll have to rely for absolutely anything (from fixing the fridge to how to send shuttles to Mars) on the Chinese or the Russians. Oh! And google will migrate to South Korea (they won't be able to withstand the demonstrators anymore) and you'll be left with only a few wide-eyes believers that worship trees and think that the key to life is self-control. ah ah ah!

Linda, there is a reason we have a curriculum. We teach science based on our current and best understanding of nature. Zach is simply pointing out the fact that creationism is simply not supported by enough reputable scientists to be given airplay in the classroom. - Taylor

Why not let fellow students decide for themselves if creationism is real by learning about it in Church? Creationism is not science which is based on facts. If you want to learn about a faith based theory then go to a faith base institution.

While I applaud his passion, I think the junior Mr. Kopplin and his efforts are terribly misguided. Why not let fellow students decide for themselves if "creationism" isnt' all that it's cracked up to be (aka think for themselves) instead of the government telling us what to think? - Libby Hilliard

We need more young organizers like Zach in Louisiana to turn around the wave of ignorance that continues to sweep across our increasingly "red" state. - Colin Miller

Luckily they didn’t call it a unanimous vote in the House, just in the Senate. - Reread

How impressive. What a brave young man. God bless him. I hope he succeeds. I'll teach creationism in my Sunday school class. - BoFred
