I haven't thought of that name in a long time, although I DO tell a story about you often. In 1999 I was in your Senior English class at Comeaux High School. I was kind of a slacker back then; I didn't find school very interesting and let's face it, neither did/do the teachers. I always liked creative writing, however. For one of our assignments you had us write a poem, and this was probably the only homework assignment I did that week. I wrote the poem and when I read it to the class you accused me of perjury. You said you'd heard it before. I was fed up with the inadequacy of the school system as it was, but that put me over the top. I refused to attend school after that, leaving my parents no choice but to allow me to get a GED and move on. I've gone on to get a few degrees and I think most people would consider me a success, especially considering that I started out as a dropout. I am sorry to write all this, it's just that all of these years I've pictured your face, but never remembered your name, and when I read it all of those memories came flooding back. I've always wondered...what type of a person would say that to a child? Accuse him of stealing someone else's work?
