Tony should Not go to Big Cat Rescue in Tampa!
After research, it is my opinion and belief that over 112 big cats have died at this center.
Big Cat Rescue ( Carole Baskin ) is currently under Investigation for Animal Cruelty with FWC & USDA: for unnecessarily feeding live domestic rabbits to Bobcats, torturing and killing domestic rabbits for feeding other Big Cats, illegally bringing 3 Bobcats into the state of Florida, and for the death of the 3 Bobcats. Not only were hundreds of domestic rabbits unnecessarily tortured and killed at BCR because Bobcats do Not need taught to hunt, the Bobcats were never releasable in the state of Florida or Alabama from the beginning, and the public was intentionally deceived (fraud). Call or email Captain Marlow for details: Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, 850-410-0656 Ext. 17106, jason.marlow@myfwc.com. - ethical rehab

I couldn't agree with Farrow, Patricia, and Dawn more ^^ Tony should go live at an animal sanctuary that can at least properly care for him. His "owner" can't meet his basic needs. I'll just quote Dawn as she said it perfectly. . .

"Enough is enough! It is time for the right thing to be done~ for Tony and Tony only! Illegally, morally, ethically it is wrong that this has been allowed for this Long!!!" - ErickaLS

Tony needs to be away from the truck stop..it is not fair to this poor cat to be a money maker for someone! He gets things thrown at him, and is not guaranteed the safety from the public. He deserves better then that, he is a wild animal and needs to be treated with respect and dignity! To some he is just an animal, I can argue on that, he is more then an animal, he feels just like we do! It is not fair to be put up somewhere to constantly smell the fumes of trucks! He needs to be put somewhere that will love him and give him what he needs for the remainder of his life! That is the fair thing to do! - Annette Braswell

How can anyone claim that a car park with one Tiger is a zoo, never heard anything so stupid. Tony needs grass under his pads, freedom. This is all done for the benefit of bringing in customers to line his pockets. He does not care for Tony. FREE TONY NOW. - Karen

After almost 11 years of Tony being stuck at the Toxic Truck stop, it is time for the right thing to be done by him. It is time for him to have peace for the remaining days he has left. He is sick from being in that toxic cage for all those years. Enough is enough! It is time for the right thing to be done~ for Tony and Tony only! Illegally, morally, ethically it is wrong that this has been allowed for this Long!!!

Tony is an animal and deserves to be helped against this cruelty. Where is the ASPCA? I was a truck driver and the fumes are awful! I am now disabled with asthma and COPD. The fumes are so bad that enev when driving past trucks on the highways that a lot of people have to close there windows. This is also cruel. - Rhona aka neuterandsay999

i really could not disagree with the concept that the "tiger is just an animal/property"...that is outdated and ignorant thinking...Tony needs a habitat that is fit for tigers...logs, water to get in...if his owner can not provide him with the habitat he should not have the animal...Further, people should not own exotic, wild animals...most don't know how to properly keep them and Tony is a pefect example...just because ignorance has been the staple at the truck stop for the last 30-40 years doesn't make it right or anything that needs to continue...I live near Big Cat Rescue in Tampa, Florida and I really hope Tony gets out of jail and gets to come to BCR. - patricia

Tony is not a person, he is an animal, and therefore the private property of his owner. As I recall, a year or two ago, Iberville City Council ruled on this issue already. The cat rescue activists won't leave Sandlin alone, they've already lost the battle once.

"the department has disregarded state law and misused taxpayer money" So what. State Departments do that all day, everyday.

There's been tigers at that Truck Stop for 30-40 years. - ragin_cajun

Tony needs to go live the good life at the non-profit Big Cat Rescue in Florida. It has a lot of open space for big cats formerly held in cages. See www.bigcatrescue.org or its iPod app. - Farrow
