I GOT YOU AND MY NAME IS, ciano Deleo, should any one have a problem with me, this is my name, you have to take a number and get in line for your turn....Ragin, they have begun to bitch about how many times one has been married, PW calhouns.
two of the meanest women i've ever met were two of my wives
you can put that in your book, seems you might of met one or both. Women have lost their God given identity role since the invention of the MicroWave oven and Pillsbury can biscuits.. - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN

Ragin_cajun is such a brilliant and knowing person. Lafayette is so fortunate to have such a know-it-all as a resident. He is just a jack of all trades. Now he's a tech guru. But like the other chicken shits on here he hides behind a fake name.

Sorry, Leslie. But that doesn't pass the smell test. I've been involved with tech companies that sell network gear to city/state governments and schools for over 10 years, now. The state contract does nor set prices for gear at 2-3 TIMES the market price. T-P reports that an executive with Tropos, the manufacturer of the wireless gear, testified that those nodes sold for $2500 at the time that LCG bought them for over $5000 a piece.

BUT...no matter what the price on the state contract...they didn't look on the Internet to see what those nodes cost before they issued a PO? Why? My question still stands. You don't think that's a valid question?

If not, then I'd like to bring an account manager by your office and sell YOU some network gear. My company would just LOVE to sell gear to theIND at a 125% markup. - ragin_cajun

ragin_cajun, settle down. These wireless nodes, or routers, that transmit data were purchased under a state of Louisiana contract that set the price at that time. The price was neither set nor negotiated by LCG. The story has been updated to reflect this important piece of info.

Durel Dee and everyone one who has their hand out at City Hall is aware of this BullShit, Dammit Durel is on watch, WE NEED THE FBI TO INVESTIGATE THESE PARISH ADMINISTRATORS and their cronys, but you can't blame the cronys, they have found easy pickings and they will steal all they can possibly steal, until they break in another set of greedy administrators after next election....

Our politicians are completely eaten up with the dumbass, I say it should happen sooner and not later, that these thieving politicians will be held accountable by the citizens, its obvious that the federal government, even the ATF are too busy
to exterminate these roaches......
How can a government body purchase electronic equipment or any type of equipment without a paper trail from the seller with product origin and supplier/vendor and how did the firm that sold the products to LCG explain their possession of the product. And since there was a 100 % profit on the sale, who shared in the scam....Besides Mark St. Pierre and our greedy LCG ? - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN

LCG needs a forensic audit of every department by an independent firm, and a public bid law that closes the loopholes on all these transactions. Anybody going to demand this? Consolidated Council? Chamber? Tea Party? Anybody? - Ophelia 46

So Lafayette Consolidated Goverment routinely pays more than TWICE the going rate for network gear like this?

This can mean only one of two things. Someone at LCG, or some group of someones, either intentionally paid more than twice the market value for this gear because they are corrupt and were hoping St. Pierre would do something for them. Or someone at LCG, or some group of someones, was too incompetent to look at the price St. Pierre and go out and get a quote from someone else to compare prices and get the lowest price for the gear.

So which is at LCG? Incompetence or corruption?

This is how LCG spends your tax dollars. They don't care, it's not THEIR money. - ragin_cajun

"followed by another $141,000 contract for crime cameras."

I thought that there were no plans in Lafayette for crime cameras, council wasn't trying to do that, that was not necessary, etc, etc, etc.

Now we find out that there was indeed a contract to install crime cameras. So, all you Red Light proponents out there, what is your position on Crime Cameras? Do we want Lafayette covered with cameras and constant monitoring of public places by the police? Is anybody OK with that? - ragin_cajun
