T-P reports that an executive with Tropos, the manufacturer of the wireless gear, testified that those nodes sold for $2500 at the time that LCG bought them for over $5000 a piece. BUT...no matter what the price on the state contract...they didn't look on the Internet to see what those nodes cost before they issued a PO? Why? My question still stands. Someone at LCG, or some group of someones, either intentionally paid more than twice the market value for this gear because they are corrupt and were hoping St. Pierre would do something for them. Or someone at LCG, or some group of someones, was too incompetent to look at the price St. Pierre and go out and get a quote from someone else to compare prices and get the lowest price for the gear. So which is at LCG? Incompetence or corruption? This is how LCG spends your tax dollars.
