Anyone who advocates smoking indoors in a public place is an inconsiderate prick. Period. Many people like me are denied the chance to see my favorite bands in local venues due to smoke. I have asthma, and *CAN NOT* be around cigarette smoke.

Ruining someone else's night for your own pleasure? That's as selfish as it gets. If you want to have cancer that badly, fine. But keep it at home and don't force your peers to breathe your repulsive garbage.

Secondhand smoke is more damaging than alcohol abuse, and even some illegal drugs. It's absolutely ridiculous that politicians are being bought off every time this bill comes up to perpetuate these nasty products. - SmokingSucks

It's hypocritical to say they someone doesn't have a choice. Just as it's hypocritical to say you can smoke in a casino but not a bar. If there is a sign stating that the establishment is a smoking one then you are a moron for entering and complaining. I don't smoke cigarettes but that doesn't give me carte blanche to complain. The price of liberty is dealing with some uncomfortable things. If you all keep enacting ridiculous laws we will HAVE TO SHED THE BLOOD OF TYRANTS AND PATRIOTS AGAIN. Quit being stupid. - Choice

Fine, ban cigarettes everywhere if smoke is that bad. Just outlaw cigarettes completely. Let's have the nerve to be honest in this country again. This idea that smoking is perfectly legal, but you can't do it anywhere that's fun to smoke is pathetic. Just outlaw cigarettes.

Then come back and try to legalize marijuana. - ragin_cajun

I say ban smoking inside bars. If you want to hear music, you sometimes have no choice but to stand amongst smokers. I don't see any reason why smokers can't take a break and hang outside. It is selfish behavior not to. Also, what do you think about the folks that have to work in these places and the musicians. They don't have any choice but to breath your smoke. - Highseas1414

I'm a non smoker and I don't frequent bars any more...but when I did drink..I had a cigarette or cigar in my hand. If non smokers don't care to be around smoke...let them frequent all the other places that ban smoking. - Laswamprat

I am against this smoking ban. Reasonable people can disagree on that.

But what I find TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE is banning smoking in bars, but not casinos. If it's not right for casinos, then leave small businessmen that own bars alone, too. - ragin_cajun
