There are many facts regarding an Article V Convention that can be found at www.foavc.org. The author, for example, fails to mention that 49 states have already submitted over 700 applications for an Article V Convention. This is well over the number of applications required by the Constitution to cause Congress to call a convention. The reason a convention has not been held is Congress refuses to obey the Constitution. The applications can be read at the website noted above. - Bill Walker

"Independent opposed to politicians that switch from Democrat to Republican, like Foster, Michot, Durel, Dee Stanley, Bertrand..."

HAHA! Come on ragin. You're really making me hurt!

Michot is awesome because he attacked that EVIL, rich man Pat LeBlanc. Durel is awesome because he hands out hundreds of thousands of free money to art people. Bertrand is awesome because he brown-noses Durel better than anyone else. - Funny

Ragin,
While the Ind's editorial board is opposed to wool, I merely draw the line at cotton-polyester blends.

I'd say this article classifies as an ad hominem attack on the politician. Nice work, Walter.

So is the Independent opposed to state approval to raise the national debt ceiling? Is the Independent opposed to restoring the balance of political power between the States and the National government that has been eroded since the Civil War? Or is the Independent opposed to politicians that switch from Democrat to Republican, like Foster, Michot, Durel, Dee Stanley, Bertrand, etc.? Could it be that the Independent is just personally opposed to Ellington? Or opposed to cotton farmers?

And where does the Independent's editorial postion end and Walter Pierce's personal opinion begin? Are the two one and the same? - ragin_cajun
