I don't believe at all its the state income tax keeping companies from Louisiana. I think there is someone already in Louisiana who stands to make a killing and doesn't want the income taxed. Maybe its up in the toplefhand corner of the state and all that gas, I really don't know. It makes no sense to just do away with the income tax and coming out of nowhere like that. I'm pretty sure its not for future business in the state... - Whatacrock

Louisiana has the best workers, entreprenuers and technology in the nation - It's a great place to attract new companies. The only thing that gives companies and investors pause is the state income tax, which sends them instead to Texas where there is no state income tax. - JosephLA

"the Livonia Democrat has proposed ridding the state’s tax code of the countless controversial tax breaks"
------------------

A wonderful idea. Exceptions (tax breaks) are the bane of tax code, State and Federal. One man's tax break is another's loop hole resulting in a tax rule mess. Start with those foolish sales tax holidays. - William Morvant
