How about they cut spending and pass a balanced budget?! No tax increases. No tax cuts. Cut spending and pass a budget. If they can't do that, then there's no reason to even have a legislature. Just let the Executive Branch collect the taxes and spend it as it sees fit as it goes along. No one is suggesting a tax increase. Did you even read the article? What is being suggested is an end to all state income taxes. Why doesn't someone demand of Sen. Marionneaux how the state will pay for anything without taxes? How will the state fill potholes, for example? Seriously. How will the state buy the asphalt, how will it pay the workers who pour the asphalt, how will it afford the truck that carries the asphalt and the truck that carries the workers to the site to pour the asphalt?
