Scott,Well said about Dan and his never slow down to get the job done work ethic! His announcing on our KLAF Friday Night Football TV games is another extension of his excellent writing work that he has done all these years. Congrats Dan, This award to Dan McDonald is right on and proof that nice guys do finish first! - Mike Mitchell

A well-deserved honor to one of the classiest & most talented guys around.

As an SID, Dan was the ultimate example of a boss who worked harder than his assistants... a great representative for USL and very, very patient with those of us in the media.

I once did a profile of Dan for "The Marty Fletcher State Basketball Report", and had to put on my running shoes as I taped him at a Ragin Cajuns' basketball game, because Dan never stopped. And, Dan being Dan, he of course, never missed a thing, either--- he knew every detail of the game, every nuance, every unique statistic.

Congratulations, Dan. - Scott Brazda
