But what has he done to deserve replacing Rickey Hardy? Rickey Hardy has served his district well as an independent and effective state representative. He takes orders only from the people who elected him,and brings common sense solutions to some long-time Louisiana problems like failing to educate poor children and wasting our wealth on the politically connected. So when I see that Vincent Pierre wants to run, I have to ask why. Is he really just interested in helping people? I really doubt it given his background. And when his uncle held the job, Wilfred Pierre took hundreds of thousands of taxpayer money destined to tutor poor children, and squandered it by paying himself and his family and friends. Taking money that should have gone to tutor poor children represents the lowest form of self-dealing. So, why change? With Rickey Hardy we know we get a representative who isn't in it for the money, power, or glory. He's trying to help those who need his help, and he asks not a penny for his effort.
