nice, at least the low performing schools may then have a chance to improve the teachings in their school because of these new program. Anyway folks, you may be interested to know that charge card discount programs and interchange fees pass increased expenses on to consumers for almost all goods and services. This is store markup, and it costs us a lot. To make things better, according to the LA Times, stores should show two sets of prices on anything, cash compared to card. It will conserve everyone cash and problems. Source for this article: All consumers shoulder cost of credit card rebates - phillip

Isn't this obvious duplication of effort? Academic/behavior coordinator sounds like a hybrid principal/counselor, and these schools have at least one of each of those. Does the board really think adding another layer of administration will help students learn better? My elementary school had one principal and no counselor. My middle school had one principal, one assistant principal and one counselor. Sounds like LPSS is putting a band-aid on a broken leg. - IndThinker

Great decision! Hire more people, build new facilities and just for kicks and grins maybe we can "rehire" Lemoine the day after he retires. Forget building new schools, we need a complete renovation at central office. Again, more great decision making by the LPSS. - Pedro

It is all and well to have these very educated administrators in our schools. What is most important is "What are their accomplishments in their previous positions?" I noticed one of them held several positions. Why did he move so many times? Their accomplishments speak more to their ability than their years of education. - curious

You ask how we end up with so many administrators in public schools and here is your answer. Well intentioned though this may be .... the administrative positions continue to swell one position at a time.

All the best,
