HeyGuh, the politicians hate the internet. All of their money sucking, vote getting, tax and spend deals are starting to surface. And they don't like it. Now we all know why there is a waiting list to be a bus driver. But like you said I will DROP THE SUBJECT of the taxpayers getting screwed again. JUST VOTE NO ON THE SCHOOL BOARD TAX INCREASE!! - the original northsidian

Hey, what's the deal with bus drivers being on the drop program??? I heard this year about a driver who should be retiring, but she's, and I quote, "on the drop", & anticipating that big check she's going to get in 3 yrs. There is nothing special required to drive a bus, no degree, no particular level of education (obviously), but the LPSB allows this kind of sucking the system dry. I could afford a house, the note, but the taxes, another $200 a month, made me "drop" the idea. Come to think of it, that bus driver owns a home.... - HeyGuh

The school board has been negligent in maintining schools & that's not my problem. They built a bunch of new schools, & now that some of them have been closed, the school system doesn't know what to do with them. I say open them up as shelters for the homeless cause if property taxes go up for the LPSB, that's where I'll be. - Hope

The Advertiser's essay on the "school poll" initiative it held recently is a farce. I took the poll 3 times & my relative took it 3 times. We did this to confirm to ourselves this bogus "poll" was to allow LPSB, teachers & their friends to pad the poll. That front page of the Sunday newspaper was a misrepresentation if not an out-and-out lie. Underhanded tricks like that make the search for a super a big bogus lie also. - BoFred
