I am not happy with the way property taxes are applied. I remember Mr. Comeaux was critical of the previous assessor. As agencies try to cash in on the property tax cash cow, and as I hang on by my fingernails not to lose my home, I need to feel as if we're all carrying our tax lode (load). I just have never felt as if this dept head has had any concern about the well being of the average home/property owner. The prices of real estate have gone down TREMENDOUSLY since he assessed them four years ago. They were peaking at the time. His presentation to the LCG Council during budget hearings last week, indicate he expects the SAME tax this year. SHAME ON YOU CONRAD COMEAUX.
