Bayou Vermilion District has taken out over 15 tons of trash consisting mostly of aluminum cans, plastic bottles and styrofoam cups and over 200 tires. The Vermilion is best enjoyed through boating and recreation, not to be used as a dumping ground. If you see littering, call 291-7000 to report it.
