Word on the street is Jindal wanted to endorse Nungesser for Lt Governor but Billy threatened to revoke Bobby's photo opportunities in Plaquemines Parish (we all remember the "Bobby Among the Bullrushes" shots after the BP spill)if he did. And when Bobby offered to endorse Tucker the poor guy burst into tears. Hardy's made of stronger stuff. - rambeaux rawlings

Walter, This was a lot of detailed journalistic work. I wonder how many of these "endorsed" candidates are even mentally competent to be legislators. I was taught by a former State Senator, who became a Judge, that when bad laws are enacted, it is hard as hell to undo them. Gerrymandering has rendered our "voting" voices mute. Politicians do not face consequences for enacting cruel legislation any longer! Since I view the Republican Party as, essentially, a kleptocracy, I wonder how much of the people's money will be stolen by legal trickery!

A case in point, Teacher Tenure Laws were enacted in the first place for a very good reason; namely, to protect the teachers from unjust reprisals when they stood up for their students and parents! If these tenure laws are overturned, the teaching profession will become a "musical chairs." Out with the old, in with the new! This will free up more salary money for clever theft by administrators and school boards throughout Louisiana. In the end, the net accumulative effect will be poorer instructions in our classroom and do-nothing teachers. Teaching is extremely hard work, if it is done competently. There is nothing sexy about giving quizzes every day [How you teach students that you are serious, and hold them accountable for doing their homework], test every Friday or second Friday [Bi-weekly], a six-week test, and a final semester test! Grading homework papers every night is the greatest chore. The reward is when all the parents seek you out at PTA to thank you for advancing the intelligence of their young! Teaching is, indeed, a profession! BESE District 7 Holly Boffy strikes me as a "buffoon," if I may pun on her surname! - Gaius Cilnius Maecenas

Made sure to make copy of this - I will vote against any of these who have opponents -

Napleon marches on and the uneducated - the less than knowledgeable who allow themselves to be led by the core followers -

the large number who are not paying attention - and the many who never care enough to vote -

will in time regret their actions or lack of??? - gmbo
