But many people I talk to still don't feel safe due to Chris' criminal history. And many have gone to the local PD in the past and tried to have charges filed, only to have been turned away and told that the DA says there is no legal footing for anything to occur to Chris or Amanda. KATC confirmed that when I spoke to them. I'm saying to reassure victims and get around Corporal Mouton's assertion that no "wrongdoing" has occurred, despite blatant evidence that it is, those who are still uneasy about their safety need to go file for a restraining order. That way regardless of what has happened in the past, and regardless of what the PD says about it, these people have a legal standing to not be harassed, online or in person, going forward. After that, any officer that would refuse to take this matter serious due to favoritism or police camaraderie, would be subject to review, discipline and more. And I will attend the process of filing for restraining order's if need be, to film and make sure they are taken seriously and to have evidence of it being on file, in case it is "lost" or whatever other possible scenario could arise. It is unacceptable for this one person to be able to cause so much fear and unrest in this community. So I say this: If anyone is feeling threatened or unsafe because of Chris' behavioral issues and connections through his wife to local law enforcement, contact me and we can go to get you a restraining order against them together. I will film the events, make sure it is well documented, and if he ever comes with the restricted amount of feet to you, he will be subject to jail-time. Not everyone in the local PD is interested in protecting him, I know that much. As far as the rest, the law works for us, and its time they clock in and get to it. But we have to be diligent, persistent and escalate issues when we have to. They would much rather the spotlight of this situation, which is shining on their department, go away and go away quickly.
