Pathetic, I'm no defender of TheInd (I've taken them to task on their hypocrisy and double-standards in the recent past), but even I must tip a cap to their efforts to expose this rotten soul, here. (especially Heather Miller)

Hebert has a long history of internet shenanigans, some of which I witnessed for myself online. His mean-spirited antics, double-speak, and "make money at any cost -- decency be damned" ethos is right in line with the same BS of his from years ago, and it appears to have finally caught up to him.

My biggest concern here is for his child(ren?).

I have no problem with the basic premise of BIA -- mugshots and arrest records are, as others have mentioned, public knowledge. But the associated pseudo-blackmailing of sometimes innocents, along with the open forum created for public humiliation (and the encouragement thereof) were inexcusable. And obviously, the harassment and stalking were far across the line of acceptability.

Again, kudos to you Ms. Miller, and TheInd. - Karma Police

Pathetic – Bully a private citizen? No, I do not think so! You haven’t a clue to the history of Christopher Hebert, nor do you have a clue to the amount of times people in this community have sought refuge with the police and were only denied their right to safety. Before you make any attempts to judge and publicly persecute the Independent – seek the truth for yourself. Believe me; the story is much bigger than what is being reported. These stories have led to the demise of B.I.A. and have empowered VICTIMS of Christopher Hebert’s maliciousness to come forward and seek justice. The only criminal and bully in this situation is Christopher Hebert. - Job well done Independent!

I think its funny how people can be offfended by The Ind doing this. I fanned the BIA page and saw multiple posts asking why Cherry Fisher May's mug wasn't posted, which turned to links to articles about the fact. Now the shoe is on the other foot. The Ind is posting the story and the developments of it. They wanted a story explaining Cherry's incident and they got it. Only fair they do the same to another person of interest right? Besides when you have 45000 interested BIA facebook fans, it makes it news worthy. The truth will set you free Chris. If there are false statements being posted by the man, he has that freedom of speech that people are so quick to throw up in matters like this. Step up sir. Give us your side of the story. - make up your mind

This has become nothing more than a personal vendetta by The Independent as a result of BIA publishing your editor's mugshot. I am saddened to see that Steve and Cherry are allowing you all to continue to bully a private citizen. - Pathetic

Oh Christopher Hebert, you're really a sick, sad individual. Your feeble attempts to deny the fact that you are the creator of your trashy Facebook page just makes you look desperate and shows what little class you have. Everyone who knows you knows that all you have is that computer with it's connection to the Internet to keep you warm at night now that everyone else has seen you for what you really are. The more you try to shift the attention to local news organizations over your being publically humiliated only proves more and more that it is YOU who was behind the whole scam. For every story you say you have about the "criminal masterminds" who ratted you out, they have three about you. You look like a big cry baby who just got kicked on the playground, it's pathetic, just like you. Instead of sitting your fat behind on the Internet all day "drinking kook aid, eating bologna sandwiches and listening to lil boosie" why don't you get a job, provide for your family and actually contribute something worthwhile to the community you live in? It would do much more for your obvious lack of self esteem than stirring the pot all day. They have therapy out there for all your issues, why don't you go get some help before you really fall off the deep end? It's becoming apparent you're suffering a manic episode. They have medication for that. - S

@The dude: remeber that a mugshot is connected to an arrest and charge(s). Thereby, a mugshot is public information in the same way that an arrest report is public. - growler

An administrative fee? How about the intention of defamation of character? http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/extortion
"oppressive or illegal exaction, as of excessive price or interest" It's illegal because these people on this site were portrayed as guilty when they did not go to court yet...which does invalidate amendments 5-7. He then requested money to have your picture taken off of facebook...If the DA wants to say it's not extortion then they need to make the sheriffs department take down mugshots until those people are proven guilty.
