Glenn Srewart and the powers that be are lowlifes of the earth, those who benefit from Dr. Stewart & the Durels of this area are quick to stand and plea their case, now that is a sure sign of prone status and corrupt mentality.

His Lowlife antics should not go unanswered, and these articles give the standbys of corruptiveness an opportunity to show their colors, for we must all be somewhere. Lowlifes included. - NORTHSIDIAN SHOTGUN

"will donate 100 percent of its profits to charities..."

Is that for real Dr. Stewart. Are you really going to donate all of the profits to charities. - Puzzled

This story is the best I've read from the Ind in ages. Classic. The Good Doctor presents such a modest proposal. - snaildarter

Jesus, give it a rest. At first I commended the Ind for taking the high road in all this, but with this article -the "misspellings" the intentionally provocative misuse of Photoshop- yall found a way to somehow even get below Dr. Stewart's actions. And Dr.- even posting a comment here brings you right back down with them. 12-year-old girls act like this because they have nothing better to do- is that what you'd like us all to believe about you two? - bored

Don't know what they do financially, but the Mays and the staff of the Ind do plenty for youth and other non profits in the area by publishing articles about services provided and fundraising events at no charge. Having worked for non profits in this community in the past, I know I am quite grateful to the Mays and their staff for their generosity. - eiswright

Actually I have been a major donor to programs that help boys in need such as the Johnny Robinson Boys Home in Monroe. What have the Mays or the staff of the Independent donated to help the youth of Louisiana? - Glenn Stewart

I'll take a wait and see approach. Its a noble endeavor,to be sure, and a large one. It would spectacular to see a program that would have some of the area's most fortunate providing mentoring for the area's least fortunate. That is the historical spirit of this area & it would be inspiring to see that spirit revived. This is certainly one program I could support and would consider volunteering for once it has been established. - Hope
