If you're looking for locally-made, Nutria fur jewelry and want to learn more about the use of this fine fur, please visit: www.laceydu.com. A portion of sales goes to coastal restoration efforts! Also, we promote the use of this fur as long as the pelts are coming in. We don't 'murder' these animals for their fur and would like to actually put ourselves out of business one day, once the population is under control. In the meantime, to waste this fine fur by dumping these animals in the swamp is a travesty and unjust to the animal and to our hertigage as utilizers of our environment in a sustainable way. It's the entire ecosystem vs. an over-populating invasive species and we want our gorgeous coast to be in balance. For more info: www.laceydu.com and click on Local Projects! - Lacey Dupre
