Tried them both on many occasions, but Guama's is my favorite, both for the food and the atmosphere. Julieta and Rubens are warm, friendly hosts who make everyone welcome. The food reflects Cuban and Venezuelan home cooking--delicious!

Do go when you can take time to enjoy a meal in a leisurely fashion. Can't wait to try this new item!

I have eaten at Guamas serveral times and the atmosphere is always as inviting as the tasteful food. I love their food and if Cafe Habana is better then I will try it soon. If your point is correct then rather than one place of preference, I'll have another location to visit. Thanks for the information Gene. - The Queen in the Game of Life!

Each to your own but I feel Cafe Habana on Bertrand near Congress is the best Cuban restaurant in Lafayette. Better food at a better price with better parking. - Gene Broussard
