All that being said, Rickey Hardy has more integrity, is more honest, helps more people with no thought of reward, and never pocketed a nickel than all the Pierres, Williams, Shelvins, Shelton Cobbs, and many more combined. That includes the wannabes like Handwerk, Stagg, Gauthier, Flynn, and the rest of those who never will be. - Basic Stuff

Now listen here Leslie, don't get agitated with your public because your and Jindal's man, SLICKY RICKEY lost his seat. You should have known that Hardy was a clown when he went around town bragging about how governor Jindal supports his candidacy.

If SLICKY RICKEY had wond the runoff, Theind would have printed a special edition.

As I have told you, Walter, Ragin Cajun, and everyone who would listen-that-when the peasants-grab their pitchforks-and torches-these phony republicans and their snaggy tooth tea party imbecils will be ran off of the political stage for at minimum a generation.

Dear Mr. Hardy:

Move South. I think you would have no regrets. I think you represented yourself well. I believe you accomplished what you could. I think forces worked against you because you aren't afraid to shake things up. I've seen it happen to good reps before. So we'll see how much the other guy gets done, if he makes his district better or lines his pockets, gets deals for his buddies.... I wish you well. - Bob

SLICKY RICKEY has done absolutely nothing for north lafayette. This guy spent most of his time smoozing with that little man ya'll call governor jindal. Somebody forgot to remind SLICKY RICKEY that we sent him to BR to represent north lafayette.

You Sir, SLICKY RICKEY, shall never hold public office again. Unless, of course, jindal appoint you to the dog catching committe.

"What to do now", thanks for the updated and inspiring stats about the states national ranking. Keep pushing forward and embrace the opportunities seen and in progress. Let's listen to the lessons of our elders, study and show thyself worthy, and apply it accordingly. North and South Lafayette are fatally intertwined with an echo that sounds loudly during periods of progress as well as regression. Albert Einstein said, "in matters of truth and justice, there is no difference between large and small problems, for issues concerning the treatment of people are all the same.

...BATON ROUGE – Louisiana vaulted 14 positions in the latest Forbes ranking of "Best States For Business," capping a year in which the state climbed to its highest-ever business climate ranking by every leading publication that measures the economic progress of states.

Until recently, Louisiana had been ranked 49th or 50th in every year of the Forbes ranking. When Gov. Bobby Jindal took office in 2008, Louisiana stood 49th in the U.S. Since then, the state's Forbes ranking has improved to 44th in 2009 and 2010, and 30th this year. Louisiana's improvement of 19 spots since Gov. Jindal took office ties for the largest gain made by any state in the U.S. in that period of time...

Now. Let's move on from Hardy!!! There is prime opportunity in North Lafayette. - What to do now!!

This is a response to the "Pawn in the Game" in reference to the question of prosperity by other nationalities. If your statements are truly genuine about helping others then rather than watching these individuals pick up trash, you should have considered helping. Read more about government subsidies and set-asides. Rickey was not elected to "clean up" corruption in specific areas or was he? Come on pawn, you must know by now that there are four sides to a chess board. There is trash, crime, drop outs, and corruption throughout his district as well as every other district. It's where he chooses to fight his battles and it is apparent that some communities do not have the political stamina to control his handler(s). Most politicians go into office with a 90% service mentality and leave out with a 90% serve myself conclusion. Now that this race is over, I am looking forward to Pierre and holding him accountable. - The Queen in the Game of Life

'What to do now and the Neutral party", I must agree! I live in the same neighborhood that Mr. Hardy lives in and with all of the social issues, where was his presence and influence? It's one thing to go and help others that are deserving of the same resources but it's another to completely overlook those individuals that are right in your front door lookinig at you everyday for help. Unfortunately, I should point out that he did not have the foundation or supportive staff to promote a solution base initiative versus focusing only on the sypmtoms. Your staff did a disservice to you and what's sad is that you possibly did not know it. Before you play any game, it would help if you learned the rules first. I've seen plenty of young males walking down the streets and hanging on the corners. Where were you? Where were the social reforms rather than the incresed range for drug free zones? Stamped Licenses? The four neighborhoods surrounding you would be consumped by your logic. Then profiling would be apparent. Rather than stamped licenses, why not work with the local judicial system, community, economic development organizations and implement alternatives as a change agent (behaviior). The people elected you because they felt your passion to serve others was genuine and your actions showed otherwise. We know that you are not perfect and neither are we. Time will tell when the dust settles as to whether or not whom you say you are will surface. This is a systematic challenge that is impacted by factors that promote and fuel other aspects of our local state and national perspectives. One person is not the total solution yet that person can become a change agent. When you get a chance, lend a hand with nurturing the children and young adults because they are watching. Note: Although a "pawn" has the least value, it is the only peice that can tranform into a greater piece of value. Think about it! - The Queen in the Game of Life

Time to go. Ricky did not write this. If you think your community is getting better with Ricky gone you are in for a rude awakening. Go to the schools and see who is tutoring black children, it is not the 100 black men. People are fed up. God Helps those who help themselves.
Just wait a few months when the Feds start arresting these great black leaders who stole from the mouths of children. There is a special place in hell for them along with all the politicians black & white. Look at all the young black men that are killed every day by other black young men. 50 years ago when blacks were denied rights they had values, now they have all the rights and no values. Martin Luther King would be very dissapointed. His dream is a nightmare. - Pawn in the Game of Life

I live by Simcoe and know most folks who live there too. Anybody that can count the number of white people picking-up trash musta been looking for what they consider trash for themself. What you lookin for? Sure not for a political statement. - Drive-by

Hopefully reality is starting to set in, Mr. Hardy has been a "sideshow" and "crony" for Joey for all these years. The bottom line is when it came down to issues and his track record, Rickey either didn't answer question or could not answer questions. - beheard

A synonym for pawn is HOSTAGE!!! a chess piece of less value. Dear Rickey, hope you can disern and become your own fisherman and not continue to be a fish in a bowl of sharks. Let's see if those sharks will let you join them back in their social arenas. - Fisherman

(ROCKY) I mean Ricky tried to mask his short comings lack of intellect high on the list.He thought catering to the Republican party, and puppet masters would in the end rule the day.
You live in one of the poorest most under served areas in all of lafayette.Yet none of your legislation spoke to this
problems.I agree with the C average rule but what about tutoring, mentoring to help acheive these results.Youre tough on crime but you dont speak to alternatives, like job creation, education, especialy trade schools.Lock them up and make it even harder when there released(STAMPED LICENSES)wheres the hope wheres the reform.Teach them to fish Ricky at least let them know where the fish are biting.Hell pass some laws to help stock the pond.I tell no lies is one great big lie in itself is that your back pocket smoking i smell fire. I hope this is a wake up take this time to mend fences, self reflect, theres some good in you.Its time to be your own man and not a tool. - neutral party
