Wow.. Ragin... would not have thought you would stand up for such a large governmental entity providing services in competition with the private sector. Shows again how deep your principles run when party politics are involved. - ragin be quiet

1.5 years? Are you high? This has been occurring at LITE since 2006! And it all started with one person - Cruz-Neira. Interesting to see that others were just as effed up/evil as she. That place is a festering boil living off the backs of the Louisiana taxpayers...and it never bursts. Shut it the hell DOWN. - Carolina's Crusty Chicken Coop

Emperor--

All excellent questions. You can find answers to many if them by searching theind.com, theadvertiser.com, and google. LITEs financial statements are free to download from the State of La.'s website--called an "auditor's report", grouped by parish, there's thousands of them, very easy to understand. While you're at it, you can look up Page Cortez's contact info, he and Mike Michot both made many public statements about all the jobs and development that LITE would bring to Lafayette and to the State.

If you find that this little research project was fun and enlightening, then you should donate some time to the tea party and help them with research. "Be the change you want to see in the world". - ragin_cajun

What exactly does LITE do? What is its mission? What are its goals? By what yardstick does it measure its success? What has it succeeded-historically-in actually doing? Does it have an economic impact, has it had an economic impact, will it have an economic impact? Does it facilitate development? Does it itself develop? Is it a hardware entity, a software entity, or what? Who is its driver? Who pays for it? Is it obliged to present a revenue/expense statement or other financial data? If so, by whom, to whom? I don't put much stock in the Tea Party folks, but this would be an issue they could run with with a little bit of credibility. - Thye Naked Emperor

The rumor has it that she was let go, fired, laid off. How ever you spell it, she's gone by choice of LITE. Sounds like they need to do something to generate money over there. They keep losing the good ones due to lack of funding. I hear a great sucking sound coming from LITE. Last one out, make sure you turn off the egg! - LostatLITE
