One would think simply paying the fine and doing the community service required by Judge Rubin, one would be happy to be finished with such an issue, but not Durel. Why would Durel contemplate continuing this charade, if not for the purpose of covering up, camouflaging and/or protecting further illegal activities conducted by and supported by Durel and the Durel administration. Durel's actions serve no useful purpose what so ever. Joey, grow up and move on to more important issues concerning Lafayette and the parish. The Federal DOJ is already investigating this LHA, get out/stay out and let the DOJ do their job. You're simply "mudding" up the waters.

How much is this appeal going to cost the taxpayers? Just pay the $258.00 fine and do the 8 hours and save the taxpayers some money. Or is Joey Durel paying the attorney fees out of his pocket? I don't have a problem with the appeal, I have a problem with the cost benefit ratio. Someone please give me an answer, thanks. - Michael A. Moss
