<description>This article really blows my mind! Am I the only person who reads between the lines?

Okay, Dardenne now admits dating Jennings. He now describes her as troubled. If she was troubled, why did he keep having contact with her. And why on earth meet her alone on a weekend at his office? Did she become troubled after their affair ended?

It is obvious to me that Dardenne is sending Jennings a message.....&quot;bring out the big guns&quot; during a press conference almost 5 years AFTER she supposedly extorted Dardenne. He is saying this to &quot;her&quot; so she doesn't come forward in 2015!!!! If he felt extorted, why not complain in 2006???? The fact that he didn't have this press conference shows that he is most likely trying to again intimidate her. Former D.A. Moreau seems to be the only &quot;big gun&quot; who questioned this situation.

If Jennings was indeed having a long term affair with Dardenne, I don't think a call from Dardenne's wife could intimidate a woman who was bedding her husband all of these years. This comment was to appease Dardenne's wife.

There is definitely something wrong with the accusation of extortion. Since there were specific amounts requested from Dardenne, I do believe he might have misled Jennings while representing her. If she really wanted to extort him, I believe she would have asked for a huge sum. And, If Jennings dropped off or mailed letters, have the material fingerprinted.

This is what I suggest. Have a press conference and invite both Dardenne and Jennings to take a lie detector test. It appears that their last meeting was in June 2006. Have them both provide telephone bills to show who called who on that day. For them to have met at Dardenne's office, someone had to contact someone!!!!
