Sandra’s Café and Health Foods Store serves a heaping plate lunch of rotisserie chicken and sides for today’s dish of the day. The free-range, hormone-free chicken quarter is slow cooked and served with organic sides, like the beets and sweet potato pictured. On Fridays, mention EatLafayette and receive $1 off a plate lunch — on Friday, the special is shrimp and grits. Find Sandra’s at 211 Rena Dr. for lunch Monday through Friday. They start serving at around 10:30 a.m. and stop around 2 p.m. — or until they run out of food. The store is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
