Let the Cajuns tailgating competition begin

Get your cooking game on Cajun fans, as Elizabeth Rose, the editor of UL’s weekly newspaper The Vermilion and IND Monthly’s intrepid food writer/photographer, will be on a mission at Saturday’s home opener against Lamar to find the best tailgating food.

Cajun fans will be stirring up seriously good eats at Saturday's home opener, and IND food writer/photographer Elizabeth Rose will crown a winner in our October issue.
We’ll crown the winner in the October issue of IND Monthly, which will also include a photo feature on the best setup/eats on game day at Cajun field.

Kickoff, as if you didn’t know, is 6 p.m. If you’d like Elizabeth to stop by your spot, post a comment below and let her know where you’ll be and what time you’ll be serving. With expectations for the Cajun squad high this year, there will be a huge tailgating party Saturday; she obviously can’t make it everywhere, so first-come, first to serve.

Go Cajuns!

Got a note that you should look for the group under the pecan tree across from the big live oak/band area. My Cajun fan/buddy says there is no better food to be found. Ask for Stump.

I'll be wandering around all afternoon, starting at about 2 p.m. Call me over if you see me and I'll be happy to oblige!
