The Lafayette Council on Aging, in order to combat cutbacks, is holding a hot dog fundraiser next Wednesday in Girard Park and is now accepting pre-sale orders.

The meals, which will be served from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., include a hot dog, cup of chili, chips, canned drink and a cookie for $6. Businesses that order eight or more hot dogs receive free delivery — anywhere in Lafayette. To order, call 262-5990 or fax information to 262-4106. The LCOA accepts cash, check or cards (with an additional fee).

The LCOA’s services include case management, a homemaking program, foster grandparent program, nutrition program, personal emergency response system and Meals on Wheels.
