Dish of the Day: Counter Culture's Humphrey Yogart
It’s Monday — treat yourself!
Since it opened a branch here in Lafayette, Counter Culture has provided Lafayette with lighter lunches and a rotation of soups that ranges from roasted red pepper and gouda to black bean. Go for the avocado delight sandwich, or the hot meat melt with chicken, steak, turkey or ham.
But for dessert, go for the Humphrey.
Counter Culture’s Humphrey Yogart is the signature frozen yogurt dish at all CC locations. The restaurant always has tart yogurt in the machines, and the Humphrey layers the tart yogurt with granola, three kinds of fruit and a drizzling of local honey. It’s not overly sweet, and the granola provides a slight crunch. The frozen yogurt is from Only 8, which is only 32 calories per 1/2-cup serving. When choosing your fruit, we suggest the classic strawberry, blueberry and banana. Grab a kid’s size for a snack, or a medium to share with your lunch date.
Find Counter Culture at 1899 W. Pinhook Road, and like the Facebook page for constant updates and discounts for being a Facebook friend.
