Lafayette institution Campus Copies closing

Campus Copies, one of two non-franchises on the UL campus, is closing at the end of the month after serving students, faculty and the community for 26 years.

campuscopiesAccording to Campus Copies workers, the restaurant lost its lease, so it is forced to move out at the end of the month.

“Believe me, we’re not happy about it,” says one employee.

The restaurant sits on a small piece of land on the UL campus that is privately owned, along with Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, which will also close at the end of the month. Also on that privately owned piece of land are a mini mart and a Subway restaurant.

Campus Copies serves burgers, plate lunches and a variety of sandwiches, as well as provides copies of practice tests and documents for students.

To patronize Campus Copies before it closes at the end of the month, find it at 206 E. St. Mary Blvd.
