Pick up a pre-made breakfast, lunch or dinner that is packed with lean proteins, heart healthy oils and fats, rich spices and low glycemic index carbs.
ReadyFit Meals opened its doors in the Oil Center yesterday after months of preparation, and the extensive menu is created to fill stomachs without packing on pounds.
The ReadyFit menu is available online here, and all meals are available in small, medium or large portions for $4-$12 each, but most large portions are in the $8-$9 range. All meals are free of additives, preservatives, hormones or artificial ingredients, and unhealthy ingredients like sodium, sugar, fats and gluten to a minimum.
For breakfast, try out the lighter Super Mario’s protein waffles, which have 88 calories for the small portion and only 176 calories for the large, and are accompanied by seasonal berries and agave syrup. There’s also the chicken n’ waffles, which is only 373 calories for the large with 63 grams of protein, aided by the baked, almond-crusted chicken.

For entrées, there are wraps, tacos, pastas, seafood, and soups, all influenced by local favorites and international fare. The low-carb vegetable tandoori is packed with smoked paprika and madras curry and served with brown rice, or try the beef shiritaki, one of the lean lunches. There’s turkey pasta, lean chili, skinny étouffée and chimichurri pork tenderloin.

ReadyFit Meals is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.; and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
