Farmers market reopens in Oil Center

The Lafayette Hub City Farmers Market opens in the Oil Center on Saturday, May 1 at the civilized hour of 8 a.m to noon. The Gotreaux family organic farm will be there, offering snow peas, swiss chard, kale, eggs, fresh and smoked tilapia filets. Other vendors include Jim’s Country Pies, Ron and Rosanna Czarnecki’s granola, granola bars, and probiotic lacto fermented beverages, Tom Anger’s backyard gardener vegies and many others. The market is located on Heymann Blvd. in the parking lot opposite Champagne’s Market.

Their new Web site, www.lafayettehubcitymarket.com, will be up and running soon. On the Web site you’ll be able to sign up for e-newsletters and meet each vendor participating at the market.
