The Saturday farmers market in the Oil Center celebrates its grand opening on June 19. The market’s official new name is the Lafayette Hub City Farmers Market. There will be music, goodies to taste, and all the great local fruit and vegetables we love to eat. This week, vendors will be offering the following:
Gotreaux Family Farms (organic): Cucumbers, basil, mint, yellow squashes, potatoes, tomatoes, bell peppers, banana peppers, leeks, eggs, Tilapia (Smoked and Freshly Frozen filets)
Frank’s Casing Crew, now doing business as Frank’s International, will make its final appearance on ABiz’s list of the Top 50 Privately Held Companies in Acadiana this year, and once again, it will likely be at the top with more than $1 billion in annual revenues. The 75-year-old company specializing in tubular fabrication and installation services to the oil and gas industry plans to go public this year.
