Café Vermilionville is located at 1304 W. Pinhook Road. One of the oldest historical building in the area, it was originally an inn, but for the past three decades has been helmed by Ken “Pancho” Veron and his family. The menu has classic French influences mixed in with familiar Cajun dishes and flair.

The restaurant has begun a new attraction. Called the Courtyard Concert Series, every Wednesday evening will be filled with different performers. There will be live music from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and patrons can order dinner and drinks while listening to a show. The first will be Troy Richard performing Sept. 21. Musician Kurt Boudreaux will be performing the following Saturday.

On Sept. 22 a special wine dinner with guest chef Louis Perret will be held to benefit the Miles Perret Cancer Center. Festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner seated at 7:30 p.m. The next day on the 23rd will be dedicated to a Judge Roy Bean’s reunion in honor of Earl Hebert. Judge Roy Bean was the name of the bar in Café V that was very popular. Also in attendance will be Charlie Goodson of Charley G’s.

Call Café V at 237-0100 for more information or to reserve your table.
